Gateway Bible Church is a non-denominational church with a fellowship of believers under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our ultimate desire is to know Christ and to make Him known while being conformed into His image by the power of His Word and the Holy Spirit. In other words, we are a group of people who love Jesus and want to grow closer to Him.
Our address is 29457 The Old Road in Castaic. We are located in the Castaic Creek Plaza south of the round-about next to Luv N Donuts and Tutor Time with plenty of parking.
You will find a welcoming atmosphere at Gateway Bible Church. This means you’ll meet loving people who want to get to know you, you can dress casually, and you can enjoy complimentary tea and coffee. Our service begins at 10:00 am with songs of worship before our pastor takes us through the scriptures, chapter by chapter and verse by verse. The service ends at 11:15 am.
We have Sunday school programs for kids ages 0-3 (nursery), grades PreK-3rd, and grades 4-6. Before service begins at 10:00am, you can sign your kids in to their respective classes and sign them out when the main service ends. The youth (grades 7-12) stay in the main sanctuary for worship and then are dismissed to their own group for studying the scriptures.
We do not “pass the plate” at Gateway. If you would like to financially give to our ministry, we thankfully accept offerings through our tithing box at the back of the sanctuary, through your bank’s bill pay service, or through our online giving portal on this website (click the GIVE tab).
Statement of Faith
We believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired without error in the original manuscripts, and the infallible rule of faith and practice. The Word of God is the foundation upon which Gateway Bible Church operates and is governed. We believe that the Word of God supersedes any earthly law that is contrary to the Holy Scriptures.
(Isaiah 28:13; Nehemiah 8:8; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Peter 1:21)
We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all things.
(Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Hebrews 9:14)
We believe in the person of God the Father, an Infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all those who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
(Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalms 90:2; Psalms 102:27; John 4:24; 1 Timothy 1:17; Titus 1:3)
We believe in the person of Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, his substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and personal, visible return to earth.
(Isaiah 7:14; Micah 5:2; Matthew 1:23; Mark 16:19; Luke 1:34-35; John 1:1-2; John 8:58; John 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 1:2; Revelation 1:8)
We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, Who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ.
(Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 3:18; John 16:8-11; Romans 15:13,16; Hebrews 9:14)
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide.
(John 14:16-17, 16:8-11)
We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, and that all who trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ, and that only by God’s grace, through faith alone, are we saved. All those saved are born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
(John 3:16-19; 5:24; Romans 3:23, 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 1:3; John 3:3)
We believe in the universal church, the living spiritual body, of which Christ is the head and all who are born again are members.
(1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 4:15-16)
We believe in the local church, which is comprised of Holy Spirit baptized believers in a geographical location, who gather for the public preaching and teaching of God’s Word, corporate worship through song and prayer, personal edification, the promotion of personal and worldwide evangelism, and the celebration of the ordinances.
(1 Cor 1:2; Mt 28:19-20; Heb 10:24-25, 13:7)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the church: (a) full immersion water baptism of believers, and (b) the Lord’s Supper.
(Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)
We believe in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell and that all those who place their faith, hope and trust in Jesus Christ will spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord, while those who reject Jesus’ free gift of salvation will spend eternity separated from the Lord in Hell.
(Matthew 5:3, 25:31-34; Hebrews 12:23; 1 Peter 1:4; Psalm 9:17; Matthew 5:22, 18:9; Luke 12:5)
We believe in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the church where all believers will meet the Lord in the air and be taken out of this world prior to the Tribulation that will come upon the earth.
(1 Thessalonians 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52)
We believe in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ which is His personal, visible return to earth and the establishment of His millennial kingdom, in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and endless suffering of the wicked.
(Matthew 16:27; Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11-16, 20: 11-15)
We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. (Genesis 1:26-27) Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.
We believe that marriage has been ordained and instituted by God. This church defines “marriage” as the exclusive covenantal union of one man and one woman in which such union is a lifetime commitment.  A civil government’s sanction of a union will be recognized as a legitimate marriage by the church only to the extent that it is consistent with the definition of “marriage” as found in this church’s Statement of Faith.
(Genesis 1:27-28, 2:21-24, Matthew 19:3-6, Romans 1:24-27, 1 Corinthians 7:2-5, Hebrews 13:4)
